By accessing this website or engaging American Publishing Central ("APC", "we", "us") for any service, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, please do not use our website or services.
APC provides ghostwriting, book editing, publishing, cover design, audiobook production, children's illustrations, author branding, website design, SEO, logo & branding, and social media marketing services for authors. The exact scope, timeline, and price of each project are set out in a separate written proposal or agreement signed by both parties, which takes precedence over this general page.
To keep your project on schedule, you agree to provide accurate information, respond to requests for feedback or approval in a reasonable time, and make payments according to the agreed schedule. Delays on your part may adjust the delivery timeline accordingly.
Once a project is fully delivered and paid for, full ownership, copyright, and publishing rights of the final manuscript, cover, or other deliverables transfer to you. You are credited as the sole author/owner. APC retains no ongoing rights to your finished work and will not resell, republish, or reuse it without your written permission.
Projects typically require an upfront deposit with the remaining balance paid in milestones or upon completion. Deposits secure your project slot and are non-refundable once work has begun; unused portions of a payment for work not yet started may be refunded at our discretion.
Your story, ideas, and personal details are kept strictly confidential. Team members working on your project may be asked to sign a non-disclosure agreement (NDA) upon request, and we will not share your project details with third parties without your consent.
Each service package includes a defined number of revision rounds, outlined in your proposal. Requests beyond this scope may incur an additional fee, which we will always discuss with you before proceeding.
Where we help publish or promote your book on platforms such as Amazon KDP, Apple Books, or social media networks, we are not responsible for those platforms' independent policies, fees, availability, or algorithm changes.
While we work to the highest professional standard, APC is not liable for indirect losses such as lost sales, lost profits, or reputational damage arising from the use of our services. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us for the relevant service.
Either party may end an ongoing engagement with written notice. You will be billed for work completed up to the termination date, and any files or drafts finished at that point will be delivered to you.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York, USA, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
We may update these Terms of Use from time to time. Continued use of our website or services after changes are posted means you accept the updated terms.
